It was a perfect night in Dawson Creek, British Columbia for the third run of the 2010 Battle of the North Championship, and recently crowned WPCA Dodge Pro Tour Championship winner Mark Sutherland posted the fast time of the week so far with a 1:15.26.

 Coming off barrel number 2 in heat number 8, Sutherland, driving the South Peace Oilman’s Association outfit placed first overall for the week by 45 one-hundreds of a second over his father Kelly Sutherland who placed 2nd on the night. Buddy Bensmiller was third for the second consecutive night, while Jerry Bremner and Colt Cosgrave filled out the top 5.

 Jason Glass regained the lead in the overall aggregate standings with a 3-day combined time of 3:53.19. Jerry Bremner, Kelly Sutherland and Buddy Bensmiller are the top 4 right now with Reg Johnstone in fifth place just 3 one-hundreds of a second out of 4th spot overall. The top 4 drivers in the aggregate after Saturday’s run will go into the sudden death championship final heat where the winner will take home the 2010 Battle of the North Championship and a $10,000.00 bonus cheque.
