Saskatoon, SK: Tanner Byrne is a young man of many talents. In his first season on the CPRA Bull Riding trail he won over $10,000 and missed most of the year first of all because he didn’t get to start until about half way through, then he was unfortunately injured and missed more that way.
2011 was his first full season. And this year he made it count. By about the weekend he got hurt last year he already had his ticket punched to the Canadian Finals Rodeo in Edmonton in November.
Next to bull riding, Tanner or “Krusty” as many call him likes playing his guitar and telling stories. You might not see him on stage singing his songs just yet. For now it would most likely be “sitting around with friends and family having a few beers” as he said earlier this evening.
This past summer was the only time I got to see and hear Tanner play his guitar and sing. His girlfriend Meghan also sang for all of us.
“I like to play before she does though because I definitely wouldn’t want to follow after she sings and plays her guitar!” Tanner added. “She is truly amazing and everyone who’s heard her would agree.”
They were both outstanding.
Music is big in the Byrne family though and it’s something everyone can enjoy. Just like we will all be enjoying Tanner’s music on the upcoming season of Hell on Hooves. He was one of the featured riders on this years show. Last week he stopped in the Hell on Hooves studio in Saskatoon to record this video of his song “Going to the Show”
Check out Tanner and his song on the video fro Juxtapose Productions here:
Make sure to tune into Hell on Hooves to hear more of Tanner’s story as well this spring! There will be more here as is comes available too!
