There is only one lone performance left to go at the 2014 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. In the ninth go-round, there were two Canadian boys who managed to pick up some more WNFR bucks.

Bareback rider Jake Vold claimed a second place check, with a 84 point ride on Pickett Pro Rodeo’s Delta Glamorous. Vold has had a stellar first trip to the WNFR and has $43,930 in WNFR earnings and is sitting in 10th place with $111,715 in the PRCA standings.

It’s been very prosperous week for this 27-year-old Canadian Champ. When he gets back to Canada, he said he’s opening a new savings account.

“I’m putting it in the bank after taxes,” laughed Vold.

After pulling some money from seven out of the nine performances so far at the WNFR, Vold said he’s feeling the high of Las Vegas.

“I’m tickled pink to win some money. It’s been a very prosperous week. I feel good and I’m pretty excited about it.”
