Ranch bronc riding in Williams Lake is now its own stand-alone event. Originally part of the Ranch Challenge, the crowd favourite is open to any non-pro riders and believe me, you never know what you’ll see!

The Bar C5 rodeo stock sports a regular stock saddle, and riders must dress or decorate their bronc, plus ride them for eight seconds. There is no spur out rule as required in professional bronc riding, and riders are scored on their ability to entertain the public. The $1,000 prize was split amongst the top three riders.

Congratulations to winner Mike Faye of the Gang Ranch with 76 pts, Shayne Hudson of Williams Lake won second with 71; Brad Rymer of Williams Lake and Jason Woolsey of the Gang split 3/4 each with 69. Darren Sulin of Hanceville won $50 for best costume.
