Congratulations to Angus breed champion Robert (Bob) Switzer on his upcoming induction into the Canadian Agriculture Hall of Fame.

From his Sandy Bar Ranch near Aneroid in southern Saskatchewan, Bob was instrumental in introducing the Certified Angus Beef brand to the entire value chain, from the cattle industry, Canadian hotel and restaurant trade, and ultimately consumers.

His vision for a sustainable cattle business led to the creation of Red Coat Cattle Feeders, a community-owned feedlot project. Bob is a distinguished Angus breeder, promoter, mentor and judge, and continues to advocate for the cattle industry within Saskatchewan and across Canada.

Bob, along with horticulture crop protection pioneer James Bartlett and livestock show leader John Willmott, will be formally inducted at a ceremony on Nov. 6 at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto.
