Future uncertain for Edmonton’s River City Roundup
Event co-chairs quit over budget dispute with city

The future of the River City Roundup is unclear after the volunteer co-chairs quit in “frustration” following a meeting with Edmonton city councillors two weeks ago.
Bob Steadward and Jackie Rae Greening asked executive committee May 11 to boost the budget to $360,000 from $60,000 for the agricultural-themed festival held during Canadian Finals Rodeo and Farm Fair International.
