WPCA Welcomes Saskatoon to the 2013 Pro Tour

Wagon fans! The World Professional Chuckwagon Association recently announced that the WPCA is bringing their chuckwagon racing action to Saskatoon’s Prairieland Park from June 6-9, 2013.

The Saskatchewan prairies will once again echo with the sounds of thundering hooves as the WPCA’s 36 talented drivers, a slew of outriders and their superbly trained horses bring to town their world-class and uniquely western spectacle.

Brenda Sapergia, Livestock Manager for Prairieland Park, said that they are “pleased to partner with the WPCA on this exciting venture.”

To introduce themselves to potential sponsors and enthusiastic fans, WPCA drivers Luke Tournier, Tim Haroldson, Gary and Logan Gorst, Evan Salmond, Jerry Bremner, Doug Irvine, Troy Dorchester, Lane MacGillivray and outrider Shawn Calf Robe attended the Saskatchewan Equine Expo in February.

As well, Saskatoon has been added to the WPCA Tour Tarp Auction April 9 at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino in Calgary. Satellite locations for the auction include Grande Prairie, Rocky Mountain House, Bonnyville, Saskatoon and Medicine Hat.
