Panhandle is one of few privately owned Western apparel companies, and prides itself on creating fresh styles for customers in the ever-changing Western fashion world.
Founded by the Hochster brothers in the 1930s, today the third generation of Hochster’s have joined the company and creating new labels, Rock & Roll Cowgirl and Cowboy — a hip collection popular not just with cowboys and cowgirls but with people from all walks of life.
Now based in Texas, the company has a strong Canadian connection. “Panhandle was one of my first suppliers and remains a major force with us today,” says Barry Lammle of Lammle’s Western Wear and Tack. “Over the years Jeffrey Hockster and I have become great personal friends. Our strong friendship has spilled over into our families and across generations. The Lammles and the Hocksters make a great team.”
2016 marks the 70th anniversary of this iconic western wear company.
