One of Canada’s most recognized icons, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Musical Ride, will be performing at the Alex Fraser Park in Quesnel on Tuesday, July 16th. The RCMP Musical Ride is a colourful Canadian tradition that features 32 horses and riders performing a variety of cavalry drills choreographed to music. Working through a unique medium, they support the RCMP community policing efforts throughout the country. The Musical Ride was started in 1876 by members of the North-West Mounted Police, as a display of riding ability. It has turned into a uniquely Canadian equestrian experience enjoyed by thousands of Canadians every year. The RCMP’s Musical Ride will be in Quesnel on Tue, July 16th. Tickets are on sale at Circle S Western Wear and are $10 each.  For information call Stephen Vrolyk at the RCMP office 992-9211.
