CFR Guide 2014

Canadian pro rodeo fans are risk takers?—?most of them have held a bronc rein
or the suitcase handle of a bareback rigging, had speed tearing up their eyes as they rounded the third barrel or felt the burn of the lariat and the hard stop of a great horse.

They know what it’s like to risk it all.

Each year, thousands of like-minded folks converge on the province’s capital city to cheer on the pro athletes as they put it all on the line in their quest for The Buckle. These die-hard fans have followed the ups and downs of these premiere athletes all season, know the names of the rough stock as well as they know the names of their kids until finally, the time has come to declare the 2014 Canadian Champion.

That time is now; the fans will be there?—?and suddenly overnight the suits are swapped for boots and Edmonton is “The” Cowboy Capital.
